Jane McCune has retired after a profound, 42-year career in Iowa City real estate.
Jane McCune, one of the two co-founders of BLANK & McCune The Real Estate Company, will retire at year’s end. A full-time real estate professional since 1975, McCune started BLANK & McCUNE with now retired partner Jackie Blank in 1979, a time when few women in the nation were brokers of real estate companies.
Over the years she has achieved a lauded reputation as a consummate real estate professional and generous contributor of time and resources to innumerable nonprofit organizations. In her 42 years of real estate McCune has enjoyed working with hundreds of clients and homes, many of them multiple times.
“The best part of being in the business has been the clients,” she says. “It’s always rewarding to find the right home for someone–the place where they’ll be happy.”
